Kate Josephs, host of Concerning Collins, is a full-time activist who has volunteered on state and federal political campaigns for two decades. She is past chair of Lincoln County Indivisible, a 750-member resistance group in Midcoast Maine; a graduate of Emerge Maine, a program that trains Democratic women to run for office; and co‐founder of a local chapter of the Maine Episcopal Network for Justice. Josephs spent her first career in finance, working in venture capital in NYC & Maine as well as community development finance in Maine. She has served on numerous private and nonprofit boards. She lives in Damariscotta with her husband, the environmental activist Michael Herz.

Marie Follayttar is the Co-Founder & Executive Director of Mainers for Accountable Leadership and Co-Director for MFALPAC. Follayttar and MFAL ran the Maine field of the Be A Hero campaign that raised $4 million dollars to fund Senator Collins’ future opponent. MFAL launched in 2016 and was the first in-state group that consistently questioned the moderate reputation of Senator Collins. MFAL has organized with veterans, faith leaders, attorneys, and Mainers around the state. 

In the past three years Marie has helped found and launch Moral Movement Maine (a risk-taking faith-based movement), The Poor People’s Campaign Maine, and Disability Activists and Allies of Maine (now Disability Voters of Maine). Follayttar has served as Digital and Communications Director for By the People, a movement that worked to impeach the President. Follayttar began her love of politics and social justice as a Senate Democratic Page for Former Majority leader George Mitchell. In her downtime she is a poet and subversive artist whose nickname is “flag pants girl.”
